Thank you for choosing us. Make yourself at home and enjoy your trip in Tanzania with us. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, about a 45-minute drive from the airport. Your safari guide will meet you to explain the plan.

  • DAY 2Tarangire National Park

    In the morning, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its huge baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Its open landscape makes it a beautiful, special place, where up to 300 elephants can be found looking for underground water in the dry riverbeds. You may also see migrating wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo gathered around the shrinking lagoons. Here you'll enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch.

  • DAY 3Serengeti National Park

    Today you'll drive to one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the Serengeti. It's known for one of the most amazing wildlife sights on earth — the Great Migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle, moving to and from the Mara River and the Ngorongoro Highlands in search of fresh grass and water. Other animals here include the big five (elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, and rhino) and predators such as cheetah, wild dog, jackal, and hyena. The Serengeti is also home to over 350 bird species, both migratory and resident. Enjoy an exciting game drive, then in the evening take a shower, have dinner, and stay overnight.

  • DAY 4Serengeti → Ngorongoro Highlands

    After a beautiful Serengeti sunrise this morning, depart early for a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. After brunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. On the way, you can choose to stop at Olduvai Gorge, home of the first humans and the most famous historic site in East Africa. Then continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you'll spend the night on the crater rim, with an amazing view of the crater floor. Before dinner, enjoy beautiful views of the crater below.

  • DAY 5Ngorongoro Crater & Maasai Village

    Today you'll rise early to go down the crater's 600m walls to the crater floor, and get close to one of Africa's seven natural wonders. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful, unique places in Africa. Here you'll find a haven of African wildlife, with a good chance of seeing the endangered rhino and other big five animals. In the afternoon, you'll have the chance to stop at a Maasai village in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Here, you can learn about the Maasai's beliefs, culture, and way of life. You can enter one of their traditional homes, hear them sing and dance (and join in if you wish), and watch their famous jumping dance. You'll also have the chance to buy Maasai crafts directly from the tribe. After the visit, you'll drive to your accommodation for a hot shower and overnight stay.

  • DAY 6Lake Manyara → Departure (Kilimanjaro Airport)

    In the morning, you'll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, in the Great Rift Valley. On arrival, you'll be welcomed by beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley wall and playful baboons at the park entrance. Lake Manyara is known for its tree-climbing lions and its soda lake. Its forest is home to elephants, giraffes, baboons, blue monkeys, and bushbuck, among others. The park is also a great introduction to Tanzania's birdlife — its shores, lined with pink flamingos, attract more than 400 bird species, many of them waterbirds or migrants. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch, then in the late afternoon depart for Arusha, where you'll get ready for your flight home or your trip to Zanzibar.

What To Bring

An extra pair of binoculars, a camera, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. Bring warm clothes for the cold early mornings at Ngorongoro Crater, and light, comfortable clothes for the warmer parts of the day.
