ZANZIBAR — DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

  • DAY 1Arrival in Zanzibar

    Welcome to the beautiful spice island of Zanzibar, rich in culture and history. A Chagga Village representative will meet you at Zanzibar Airport and drive you to Stone Town, to the Tembo House Hotel.

  • DAY 2Zanzibar — Spice Farm & Stone Town

    After breakfast, you'll be picked up at 9:30 for a spice farm tour, where you can see different spices growing, taste seasonal fruits, and see local village life. You'll have lunch at the spice farm. After lunch, you'll take a town tour of Stone Town, the historic heart of Zanzibar Island, where you can see the old slave market site, the daily market, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, the palace museum, and the narrow streets, plus time for shopping. This is a full-day tour, then you'll drive back to the hotel.

  • DAY 3Zanzibar — Safari Blue Boat Tour

    You'll be picked up from the hotel at 8:30 and taken to Fumba Village, where you'll meet your boat for a guided Safari Blue tour. This includes visiting three different sandbanks, stopping at one for a seafood lunch, then snorkeling with a chance to see dolphins. It's a full-day trip, returning to Fumba Village and the hotel around 17:30.

    Enjoy the day at your own pace. In the late afternoon or evening, you'll head to the Zanzibar Airport for your departure flight.

SAFARI EXTENSION — DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

  • DAY 1Moshi → Serengeti National Park

    In the morning, you'll drive to the most famous park in Tanzania and the first one ever created there — the Serengeti National Park. Inside the Serengeti, you can see many animals all year round, but it's the huge Migration herds that amaze most visitors. Animals here include buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, lions, baboons, zebras, and many kinds of birds. Enjoy an exciting game drive, then in the evening, before dinner, take in beautiful sunset views and a warm shower before settling in for dinner.

    Wake up to a bright orange sunrise over the Serengeti Plains, with the sounds of wildlife around you. Spend a full day exploring the plains on game drives.

  • DAY 3Ngorongoro Crater → Moshi

    Today you'll rise early to go down the crater's 600m walls to the crater floor, and get close to one of Africa's seven natural wonders. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful, unique places in Africa. Here you'll find a haven of African wildlife with a good chance of seeing the endangered rhino and other big five animals. Enjoy a game drive and lunch at the Hippo Pool picnic site, then depart for Moshi in the late afternoon.
