Welcome to the beautiful spice island of Zanzibar, where the culture is rich and history abounds. You'll be met at Zanzibar Airport by a Chagga Village representative and driven to your accommodation, where we'll start with an introductory briefing before heading out to begin the trip you've been dreaming of.

Smell the spices, admire the architecture, and let yourself be carried away by the call to prayer as you explore Zanzibar Stone Town. You'll take a town tour through the historic heart of Zanzibar Island, with a chance to see the old slave market site, the daily market, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, the palace museum, and the narrow streets, plus time for shopping, before driving back to your hotel.

Today you can choose one activity for the day tour:

• Jozani Forest Walking Tour — Walk through the biggest forest in the Zanzibar Islands, spend time with the red colobus monkey (found only in Zanzibar), spot other local species, and learn about local herbs and the history of Jozani Forest's plants and wildlife.
• Prison Island Visit — See giant tortoises, snorkel in the blue ocean, and visit a natural aquarium to swim with sea turtles before driving back to your hotel.
• Safari Blue — Take a guided boat tour to three different sandbanks, stopping at one for a seafood lunch, then snorkel with a chance to see dolphins.
• Sunset Cruise — Relax at the hotel beach for the day, then be picked up around 4:00pm and driven to Stone Town for a sunset cruise aboard a traditional Zanzibar dhow, before returning to the hotel.
